Note: Canada did not participate in the Olympics prior to the 1904 games. Canada boycotted the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.

Statistics:

  • Canada won the most gold medals (14) in the 2010 Vancouver (winter) Olympics.
  • Counting only summer Olympics, Canada won the most gold medals in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics (10). However these Olympics are controversial, as they were boycotted by the USSR and its allies, which led to unusually high medal counts for most western nations.
  • Canada won the most medals overall (44), at the controversial L.A. Olympics (see above). Second-most was the 2014 Sochi winter Olympics (25).
